Cannot believe we haven't made an appointment yet. Mediocrity from Kenwright rolling over into the new regime it appears. Every day that passes by is a lost day in terms of missing out on transfer targets. If it was an out-of-contract manager (Pellegrini) it'd be sorted now, so he can't be it. Koeman appears to have pledged his immediate future to Southampton, so he's out. Mourihno and Simeone are out of our league (sad but true), and Emery will possibly go to Atletico if Simeone heads off to Inter. Does that leave us with Mancini? Are we sniffing around ready to pick up whoever is left over once the managerial merry go round is over? Seriously can't believe how long it's taking. Questions need to be asked.

If we had appointed somebody immediately people would have said we were showing no ambition and we should be exploring ALL possibilities before rushing into things.
It APPEARS that we ARE looking at all the possibilities.
This is quite possibly the most important decision that the club have had to make in years. It is imperative that we get this right.
Making a quick decision based on whatever candidates happened to be immediately available ? Now that really would have shown the mediocrity rolling over.
Whoever we appoint It will be because they were the best that we could attract NOT just because they were available, wanted the job and were an easy option.

Ok but even the villa market has a clear odds on favourite: RDM at 1/7. React to the market yes but even then if something is imminent those in the know tend to pile in. I would expect the eventual manager to be 1/8 for at least a week prior to appointment

Bookies are risk managers. They just react to the money being placed to protect their exposure. They don't know what's going on. It's very, very simple.

I agree but with agents lawyers etc at work I would expect any appointment to be 1/8 for at least a week prior to appointment

Although I don't think there is any interest in mancini him being in America doesn't mean the mole fella is wrong.

At this time without agreeing any compensation we would not have met him officially one to one anyway we would have met representatives. Same with any employed manager.

Not worried yet. Hope to have the new manager in before the start of Euro 2016. Think with Everton taking the time in making an appointment indicates we're aiming high. If we wanted someone like Moyes it would have been done within a week.
