Funes Mori’s agent Jorge Cyterszpiler claims Lazio are interested in the defender who cost Everton £9.5million from River Plate last summer.

Cyterszpiler reckons Everton want to hang on to the centre-half and now value him at more than twice the amount he was signed for.

Cyterszpiler “Lazio are a great club, but Everton do not want to sell and evaluate him at more than 30 million euros.

“But football is strange and anything can happen. He is among the best left-sided centre-backs in the world.”

And maybe a but of mutual back scratching between club and agent " Naw, we're not selling, but if you want to put it out that it's 30millmeuros/£20 mill plus before we consider anything...." . Crazy to even think of selling him now. He's come a long way since he joined us, still has some deficiencies to be sorted out but nothing that a good coaching team with some defensive nous can't sort. He'll have doubled in value again in two years with the right manager.

I think is is a good player, I like him a lot. Not one of the best in the world now though . Do not think we should sell him, but if we can get 30 million euros for him, he'd be gone in a heartbeat. As others have said though, just an agent talking up his player.

....I think there could be a decent player in there. Let's not forget he's come to a new league in a new country and will take time to fully settle. We have no need to sell and if we do we have to replace.
