Our very existence is an annoyance to the PL’s most lucrative customer base. Just by existing we are damaging the brand of Liverpool football club the prosperity of which is now the entire revenue model of the premier league. It would not surprise me at all if Liverpool’s US owners wanted us flushed out of any sort of top flight competitiveness and the PL and Pigmol are only too happy to oblige. People can call me a conspiracy theorist all they want but money talks and the PL makes its money from tv deals and the tv company makes its money from Liverpool fans watching. That’s why they get all the refereeing decisions, that’s why they get all the media fawning all over them, and the opposite side of the coin is we get shafted.
we’re absolutely no threat to liverpool mate , how many time have we beat them in the last decade ? liverpool
beating us year in year out is one way to keep them worldwide fans happy

This sounds like the utter tosh that Trump acolytes spout at his Nuremberg rallies. Conspiratorial nonsense. Liverpool, FSG, the Premier League, the media and anyone else you care to equate with any sort of relevance in the English top flight don't care one jot about Everton. The fearmongering being spread amongst the majority of honest to god decent blues fans is ridiculous. You can't prove or disprove any of that so why waste time speculating? Follow the team, back the lads and hopefully the club can build positively from the wreckage of Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright.

If you are doing 90mph on the motorway and get flashed by 2 different cameras how many fines will you get?

If you never slowed down between flashes do you think you could argue that it is the same offence?
If the cameras were two feet apart, it's impossible to slow down. Using a three-year rolling period where two are already in the past (and therefore cannot be changed no matter how much you cut back) is pretty much the same. Apart from a transfer fee and salary cap, there's no system that would level the playing field as the clubs with the bigger revenues would always have a built-in advantage. Of course, if we hadn't been run by imbeciles the last 30 years, this whole discussion would be academic.

Do we find out the result of the appeal straight away or is it a month wait like the hearing?

As with the new expedited process for the new charges, the hearings have to be done by early April, with the outcome of appeals and stuff before the end of May. So the new process doesn’t really allow for a month wait for the commission report before formulating an appeal process etc.

Depends mate. If it’s two cameras within about 20 mins of each other it’s considered the same journey so likely one charge.

Depends how you view it really.

But as we only found out that they thought we were non compliant by 20m after the end of the accounting year which we have now been charged for, depending on how much over we are (which is unknown to us currently), we could argue that we couldn’t do anything about it because we didn’t think we were non compliant, or at least not to the level they said initially until it was too late.

Middle of Feb is when they expect to hear the verdict

But it could have been changed, because the two previous years (2019/21 average and 21/22) were unlikely in themselves to have been over the limit. Everton made big signings that summer (and Neal Maupay), and as far as I can recall they didn't sell anyone of note until Gordon. The rules are bad and the punishment is ridiculous, but Everton have also been shambolic, even post first breach period.

There's no intention here to level the playing field. The intention was always to prevent another Chelsea/City, under the veneer of ensuring clubs are well run. It has no business being called profitability or sustainability.
