2023/24 Sean Dyche

If the gang of shysters looking to take over our club want to win me over , they will sack him as soon as possible and install a competent manager who understands that football teams need to score goals as well as defend , and they also need to be able to set up and coach a vaguely operational midfield.
You know , the basic stuff that seems to be far beyond the ability of this second rate manager.
Do that and I may consider holding my nose once more and sticking around for the journey,

Did he say if they've been working on defending short corners? Or are they still not going to bother with that?
Our set piece routines are abysmal in both boxes.

You’d think for a team who struggles to score from open play, it would be something we’d work on improving. But there’s no invention or any kind of clever routine. Just lump it in the box and hope it reaches one of our players.

This has ruined my trip up the M6 next Wednesday was full of hope and optimism!

Rewind, i wasnt and knew it was a folly but want my lad to see Villa Park under the flood lights and I have been duly rewarded with a pair of tickets at the very least i expect to see a goal, not necessarily us but a goal all the same,

I cant imagine for one second it will take me back to April 1985 but one has to hope!
You'll no doubt see a few goals.

No: putting 10 players in the 6 yard box for defending corners is working so well (for the opposition), he is keeping that. The 2 men taking the corner and the 2 unmarked ones on the edge of the 18 yard box particularly like it.

The narrative we can’t afford sack them is rubbish imo. 777 could pay for it, if they think the club needs a change. They sacked the hertha manager a month into their ownership.

And dyche will be on 90% more money than most of the managers in Europe.
This is the premier league, silva coming over to manage hull, got him the Watford job, which got him the Everton job. Potter coming over got him the Chelsea, and there’s plenty of other examples.

Bill and his lackeys in the boardroom always wanted the safe option, moshiri was obviously swayed by the agents in his ear or his ego. I think Thelwell wanted Corberan. We need a plan and long term mananger, we ain’t getting anywhere long term with dyche, he’s proving to be a terrible manager, which most of knew anyway
I'm with you in wanting Dyche out, but, there is no reason whatsoever to believe we can persuade anybody who could significantly improve us to take the job on. The only thing we could do to persuade a decent manager to come here is to offer them a kings ransom in wages and a big transfer budget. I may be wrong, but, I don't see 777 financing that. If this takeover happens we will be living within our means, the days of splashing the cash are gone.

Where is our specialist set piece coach? most other teams have one these days.
