Worst XI = Strong Squad

Thought I'd try to see what our depth of squad was, by putting together our squad's worst XI. Senior only, so using any U21s. Also included currently injured players.

Atsu Bešić Gibson Osman
Kone McAleny

I don't think that's a completely horrible team. It would push most of the bottom half of the table.

Any thoughts on a different line up? To match our regular playing formation, Kone may drop out for McGeady perhaps?

Wonder what the ManC or Chelsea equivalent looks like.

Chelsea - Can we recall their loanees? They have a few XIs out on loan IIRC

Oh, we need a reserve like. In fact, we need 2. I remember the Moyes bashing when we signed that Hannemann (sp?).... The general line of thought was 'keepers rarely get injured, what do we need a 3rd one for? We're hardly likely to have 2 keepers injured at the same time. WASTE OF MONEY.'

Totally ignoring the fact that goalie is the only specialist position.

Rules have changed too after last year with Lloris. Now he would have to come off.
Robles doesn't do it for me as he is not good enough to push Howard for game time in any case. Still, he's young & you don't get too many keepers as good as Courtois at his age

They have a number of U21s, which is why Terry and Azpilichicoazul are there. Also lots of central midfielders.

Would have thought it would be stronger actually.

Worst XI we can field not counting U21s. Simple enough. You must need a coffee.

Agree ... that's why they're backups I guess.
So perhaps a better way around would be: Who do we want challenging Robles as No2?
