Our best striker last season its not just his goals he unsettles defenders and he is the best back to goal forward in the prem!

Oh crying out loud. Just......... why does our fanbase have to be like this.

Mate. Anichebe was dreadful. Shocking attitude to go with it. He had how many years here to prove himself? The fact he was a sub for a vast majority of his career is all you need to know and that's made worse when you consider some of the options we have had up top in the last decade.

He was ****e .... typical reaction today. Lol

long is dreadful, I'd rather have vic, but we shouldnt be starting with either. I'd take 6mill for him all day, bu if bill is just going to rob us again whats the point

Loans aren't free. We're paying Chelsea something like £3m just to have Lukaku for one season. There's half the Anichebe money gone right there. Plus there's the little issue of the club's £40m debt that has to be serviced. It might not make any headlines, but it's still there in the background. People need to swerve these 'Bill is robbing us' shouts as well. If he was, you'd see it in the accounts and there would be proof.

Martinez has said he had/has money to spend, and he has also said last week, last month, lots of times that he wasn't a fan of buying in January. As it is, he bought one player and signed another on loan (and whose loan fee also probably cost a fair bit too - you don't get a £15m striker on loan for nothing). That's more business than Liverpool and Tottenham did. The players that we got rid of were total bit part players all season.

Thought he proved himself in the last 2 years of his Everton career. Massively improved.

The one thing I will always say about.victor is how good could he have been if he hadn't got told to be a right winger for 3 years give or take his injury.

How can you expect a striker to improve when he is nowhere near the goal?

No way never holds the ball up turns quickly and is world class diver - TBF Nolan ruined Victor with that tackle, but then again compared to Kone who was crocked when we bought him aged 29 we should have kept victor as back up as yesterday showed we had no centre forward! Only two great goals won it for us gladly!

Hahahahaha. He didnt have a bad attitude, he hated losing and when he missed a chance he was gutted. He trained hard on his touch (and if you ask how I know, he used to train on the pitch before the match especially on his touch and his turn) . He gradually began to know his strengths, ie his strength, back to goal. Van Persie werent Brilliant in all the seasons before his last one with arsenal. He majorly improved last season and you would have to be blind not to notice.

6mil for him was possibly one of the best sales our club has ever made. The only argument really here is;

"Why sell if the money isnt re-invested into the playing side". Well this has been covered a few times now by others quoting martinez saying he wouldnt be spending till summer.

Also dont forget that the more cash we have then the greater position we are in to reject offers for barkley and others.

Anichebe was never going to make it here - it was the right time for him to move on. He hasn't exactly set the world alight at WBA yet either. But in flashes he could be very good and score an important goal, usually against WBA funnily enough. Superb strike today, like, and thank's for that Vic.

But yeah, "where's the Anichebe money, Bill" can be added to "where's the Arteta money, Bill" and more recently "where's the Jelavic money,Bill".
