Forgive me the following cathartic exercise.....

Howard 4 - should have been put off, gets a point extra for standing up to Costa
Seamus 7- one assist and after a slow start, always kept trying to get us on the front foot
Baines 6- decent. Form has improved
Jagielka 3 - has given us many good days but was dire. Dip in form really concerning
Distin 5 - better than his partner but not good
McCarthy 6 - decent apart from Hazard ripping him a new one for the OG
Barry 5 - struggled against pace of Chelsea breaks
McGeady - 6.5 - very unlucky to be taken off. Passing was an eye opener
Mirallas 8 - quality performance from start to finish
Naismith 8 - his finishing is like Lineker at his peak. His work rate like Cahill at his peak.MOM
Lukaku 5 - unlucky with header off bar but struggled to assert himself

Subs Etoo 7 - will be first choice striker by Halloween
Basic - didn't cost us points - let's hope he learns from it

McCarthy is responsible for Ramirez's goal too...totally fell asleep
 
McCarthy kept diving in. He needed just to stand off and not let them get in behind. But in general defending was shocking, even in midfield. It was like Martinez just said boys when they have the ball dont pressure them they wont do much lol. Disgusting Performance.

Kev- Beast.

Geads- looked lively, some quality passes

Besic- you can cut that sh1t out right away. Please.
 

jagielka needs to be dropped get stones back in the side, weve been saying for weeks hes looking poor and he was totally ripped apart time and time again, overall i thought we played well but defensively we are shocking, martinez has changed us into wigan at the back

tbh, I think mccarthy was just so tired by then end of it since we had been chasing the game so much, just going forward and backward so much, it's not normal of him for players to go round him like that

Toatally agree re Barry, I wonder sometimes is he our version of Lucas in that he is massively overrated by us, he's been missing in the second half in all 3 games imo, given the importance of the position where he plays, the opponents we have faced, the intensity of the games and his age you would have thought he would have been subbed on at least one occasion, just feel these opening games McCarthy has had even more of a work load than what he had last season.

His pass selection on 4 or 5 occasions first half were very poor, balls that could be played along the ground chipped in at chest or head height, it just makes it so much harder for the receiving player to get on it, your not going to be afforded the time to against decent sides like Chelsea.
