I've thought this for a while, we can't score because we have NO attacking coaches!
  • David Moyes was a DEFENDER.
  • Steve Round was a DEFENDER.
  • Alan Stubbs (reserve team coach) was a DEFENDER.

Who coaches our forwards then, do we have an forward coach?
Or are we letting some DEFENDERS coaching ATTACKERS?

We desperately need someone to teach our players how to stick the ball in the back of the net!

(And I know I was saying that the strikers will come good in their own time, but that's looking less and less likely now)

Make's sense.. I'm not sure how much individual coaching a striker needs.. Especially the likes of Yakubu and Saha.. But I see your point..

we are approaching 9 years of negative, containment football with a manager who is more concerned with not getting beaten than winning;

So yes, some attacking football and coaching of the players would help.

But maybe an attacking minded coach would be able to string together the attackers of the team to score/create more. With a defenders as our coaches we can't seem to be able to know what to do in the attacking third, surely one would help?
