I'm massively intrigued to see how we do without Lukaku's goals this season.

If you take away all his goals from last season we would still have finished 7th. He seemed to score a lot of additional/consolation goals for us rather than out and out winners.

So last season our striking options were Lukaku, Valencia and Kone.

This season it is Sandro, Rooney and DCL.

We have improved the goalkeeping situation and one of the centre backs, but we are still very familiar in the rest of the defensive players.

Gylfi and Klaassen brought in to get more goals from midfield.

i honestly can't decide if we are just a bit or much stronger than last season at present.

None of those three you listed are centre forwards. DCL perhaps.

Spend 45m on Sigurddson and not have anyone to get at the end of his crosses ! Basically like pulling the fittest bird at the club, taking her home and the guy down there doesn't rise to the occasion!!

Two 5 ft 9 strikers to lead the line with no target man as option...

I want a striker desperately.

But if the right player is not available what can we do?

Sanchez and VVD would be tremendous but they won't come.

Sadly your right we can all make a wishlist of players we have no chance of signing...but it's the clubs fault
