If you read this, you've got to promise not to start shouting. You'll frighten the rent boy away, and it's not so easy to get the buggers to make in house calls to nursing homes.

My fave Everton team wasn't the '63 or the '80s outfits; it was the '69 / 70 crew. Won't go into reasons except to repeat three names: Labone, Ball, Harvey (Xabi? You like what you see with him? That was Harvey).
Thing is, the current mob look every bit as School Of Science as the actual School Of Science (to my tired old eyes anyway), and that we have greater strength in depth now than we did then. So... (hush, hush) I think that in all but one respect we're better than Chelsea. And we can win the league. We just don't, obviously, have a Drogba. And we are Everton so will probs finish 15. But, as I say, to an incredibly boring old fart like me, we CAN actually win it because we're good enough, not just because we're a bunch of fantasists.
