The commercial department has been dreadful for years.

No clue how to maximise opportunity.

They basically ring up their mates within the game and see what’s on offer

But that’s how the chairman has done things forever so it infiltrates everything we do

The Stoke game is 2 weeks before the start of the season so plenty of time for matches against foreign opposition. Motherwell, Swansea..?

I'm not saying we have the right to any prestigious pre-season tournaments.

But we're better than the scraps Everton have announced today.

Why is everyone bothered about the 3 pre season games being against local-ish teams? These won’t be the only fixtures as all 3 are in the space of a week. We’ll go away somewhere before the tranmere game. There’s no way we’ll just be training for 20 days before hand. Guarentee there’ll be a decent European team at Goodison to end it.

We went to America and Australia last year on two separate tours and it probably cost us more to go then what we made. Even if we went to these places again, nobody cares about us except for those poor souls that are already fans.

Exactly who we should be playing to ensure the players are fit and ready for the season. Both Bolton and Stoke will be at pretty much full fitness as their seasons will be about to start.

I'd love another trip abroad, but id rather us be prepared for the season.

And as for the money element. We went to Aus last year. Look how well prepared we were coming back after Xmas.
