6 + 2 Point Deductions

Think Forest will escape with a lesser penalty. Worth noting the assessment is over a 3 year period and they have only been in the PL 18 months so a bit of a strange one

The PL take note of that so they end up with a lower threshold. Sommet like £70m instead iirc. It was the brunt of Samuels article today, in summary, "Whats the point?" in trying to be competitive.

punishing Everton and Forest while the likes of City, Chelsea and others go unpunished could be the undoing of the PL
It wont be, most people dont give a flying funk about us or Forest. The PL is corrupt, this is not news. The man in charge of the refs was himself corrupt to the core as a ref. The PL does not care about right or wrong as long as they keep the money train moving, and that happens by keeping the status quo, ie big money makers on top.

Seems daft to me to start putting different limits on different clubs because they were promoted. The FFP in the championship is different from the PL, therefore they should be judged to the same limits as every club in the PL.

Promoted teams have a limit of £61mill over 3 years. So for Forest it's £13x2 in the championship and £35 in the PL. Forest made a loss of £45mill in the championship alone but made £90mill in promotion.

Personally think they should get reviewed as everyone and not take a jump off from the championship.

It's another example of the whole thing favouring the big teams

The actual point of it being stepped like it is is so that a club don't come up, blow £105m in year one then go straight back down as that woudk be unsustainable in EFL. They can spend more than they have done, but must be a position they can reverse from.

Tbh, just let them do it. Spend what you like for 3 years to try and cement a place, then fall in.

Exactly. Just let them do it that's why there's clear rules in place in the EFL. If a club wants to just blow their load in the PL and drop, they should recognise what they could get into and it's their choice to do it.

Hence why the rolling 3 year in the PL allows teams to go heavy at stages but then look to claw it back.

Forest have been in the prem 1 full season now get shafted for getting out the EFL. They'd be better of financially getting relegated

So looks like with hindsight Forest are next , seems to be a lot of journalists chatter and I think there is a Martin Samuel article alluding that Forest will go bottom with their points deduction.
This stinks of leaks by the corrupt Premier League similar to before we got nailed.

He also said, that like us, Forest are being punished for trying to compete.

PL reeks on Sly 6 closed shop

yea, but severely punishing Everton and possibly Forest wont keep the status quo.
Fans will get restless and their product will suffer.
Wolves are also not happy.
I'm not talking about immediate collapse but they've set a standard by the way theyve treated us and the only way they can uphold it is to go after smaller clubs. Sooner or later, fans of the 13 other clubs (excluding scab 6 and newcastle) will reach a tipping point when they see that the whole thing is pointless and the product will suffer hugely.
They'll basically split the league between those who can afford to gum up the system and those who cant.
