You would imagine it will be decision time quite soon as we need a manager. I can see us having deadlines for managers to make a decision. If they don't decide to come a decision to contact De Boer/Pellegrini will be made. I'd much prefer De Boer. Hope we get Emery and not keen on either of the City Ex managers.

Possibly a left field selection (Simeone!) would be perfect though!

Agree completely I have always thought it needs to be done by start of Euros at the latest. Good on them for not being hasty. Seems they are being as thorough as possible and carefully weighing up options.
There does come a time in a process such as this, if you can't bag your top 1-2 targets where you end up making a compromise between "who do we want" and the best amongst "who wants us".
Koeman/Emery fall into the first category it seems, De Boer, Pellegrini, and perhaps Mancini in the latter.
Overall, that's not a bad shortlist at all, everything considered. Let's not forget Liverpool appointed Rodgers, Man City Hughes, and Man Utd Moyes, all from much more advantageous starting points.
Things will be fine I think.

Is it too simplistic to deduce that the delay in making an appointment means that we are negotiating with someone who is currently employed elsewhere - and therefore that rules out Moyes, De Boer and Pellegrinin unless one of them is a back-stop option.

People are acting as if Moshiri and the rest won't be bothered when the new manager comes in. Obviously they will want a manager in sooner rather than later, however it is far more important to get the right man in. Guardiola in August would be better than my cousin's dog tonight.

Just wait and see shall we?

If it's Moyes though I'm supporting Tranmere NEA

This has been the generally accepted position for the past week. Our main targets are in current employment.

As a small technicality... pellegrini is employed until 1 June...

Don't think that's on. No dogs on Oddschecker.

There's nothing to stop a bookie stating that they have taken money for O'Neil, and that they have cut his oods from 50/1 to 33/1 to 20/1 to 16/1 and so on.
People then think there's been some insider info and lump on.
The bookies know O'Neil has got no chance but they make a few quid, they are very clever.
They also use something called an overround, simple maths that means they can't lose. The percentage is in their favour and is usually around 10%. They won't win on every market they price up, but that percentage means that in the long run they will win, and the least will be 10%, usually a lot more.

I wouldn't use the bookies guide as a clue, not in next manager betting anyway, they have everything stacked in their favour, unlike a horse race where they can't really kid the public when the public have the horses form to go on.

I've no doubt that there has been the odd 'next manager gamble' won by someone who has insider info, but Joe public won't know until it's too late.

Is the site able to tell which country a member is posting from?
As this could verify whether he was in Milan last night or just chatting wham!

Can tell what town they are posting from.

It isnt 100% accurate, with proxy servers, work networks, and the like. But sometimes, based on times, dates, and provider used, it can be pretty reliable.

Now a serious IT geek could probably lay false trails I would imagine, (like I would know that ffs), but unlikely.

aye. if we appoint someone who hasnt even been mentioned once, and has never appeared on any gambling market then the bookies will have made millions, just by adding certain names and altering their odds, slashing them in half and making it look like they are in the frame for the job. theres been plenty of forum useres already admitting they have put 'cheeky tnners' on 5,6,7 candidates named! those cheeky tenners are exactly what the bookies are after. they must be having a field day. who will be in th frame tomorrow i wonder?? either way who ever the bookies chose they stand to make another few grand for complete and utter BS !!

Yes, you can use hotspot shield, (there's a few on the market)I used it when I was in the Middle east so I could use skype and watch porn :)
I was in the Middle east but for all intents and purposes the internet thought I was in Liverpool, I could have been anywhere in the world if I wanted, you can decide where you want to be. It only costs like £22 a year and as far as I'm aware, is perfectly legal.

Evening all, been at a family thing all day and then broke down (car not mentally) on way home so only just checking in.
Anything of interest today? Or the usual Ebertop/steps/ITK shizzle?
