MAKING A BANNER

I'm looking on making a banner for Lille away and I couldn't find a thread on here about banners and flags other than relating back to Wembley trips.

Does anyone have any tips for making them? What type of material to use? Where to buy it? How large a piece to use? How do you get those neat white letters? (don't want one of those scruff ones using tape).

Also, post your banners for Europe?

I essentially want to make one like this. Just need to suss out the best way of doing it.

I did try Anfield but all they wanted to talk about was how to print portraits of new players with proverbs underneath.
