2023/24 Lewis Dobbin

Good today. Needs to fill out a bit more because Semedo was shouldering him off the ball and he's not the strongest himself.

Thought he should have stayed on over Danjuma.

should have stayed on over garner, onana or gueye. with either him or danjuma moving to the right

one of the few positives

He was lively which is what you want from any youngster getting thrown in, but I do think he'll struggle at this level over a prolonged period.
He definitely struggled with the physicality. But we need someone that can beat their man. That is why missing out on Gnoto will hurt us. Maybe Danjuma can provide a bit more of that threat if Chermiti can come to form or Beto comes in but that is really really wishful thinking.

Dobbin was always looking to pin his man back and it opens up space in the middle. It’s just simple things we need to start doing every now and then to open up space. Patterson finally did a decent job getting forward on the opposite side and delivered a ball that absolutely should have been finished. Better movement and better wing/fullback play is needed for future games.

Tired hard but achieved little. Hopefully he'll find his way out of Semedo's pocket before the next game

Semedo should've been sent off.

I thought he was lively and got some decent crosses in, one in the second half that would've been a tap in but for a last ditch clearance from Kilman.

He's obviously not good enough to start 10 games in a row at this level but don't mind him as a sub for next few months and then send him on loan in January if some attackers can actually get fit.
