I think you'll find Hibbert was carded chasing a Baines mistake last week.
Baines also has a midfield partner, unlike Hibbert, who has a midfield dilemma infront of him.

He's had one good season. Lets see how he does this season.
So far this season Hibbert has been the better player.

That's not the point, you don't make a bad pass and a bad cross and blame everyone except yourself. Why did neville play so much better at right back even with osman in front of him? There is a difference in quality and it's obvious to see, and this is why so many of us is having a go at him. Don't take one incident of him covering up for baines and rate him equally amongst all our back four.

One thing I do agree with you, he play better this season.

Still have a feeling that he would do great for us medium and long term. Coleman is decent, but I still think Naughton has a potential to be much better. However, if this 5m spent on him would mean that we wouldn't get Heitinga, then I am happy too of not buying him...
