Sixteen players from Rugby Town JFC's Under 10s were the centre of attention for an hour at the Grass Roots Football Live Exhibition at the NEC last weekend.
They had been invited along to take part in a coaching session entitled "Developing Players - the Everton Way" taken by the Everton FC Technical Director Tosh Farrell and assisted by ex Everton, West Ham and Leicester legend Tony Cottee.
In the main stadium arena, and in front of around 500 onlookers, they were put through their paces in a series of technical drills designed to increase confidence on the ball and to improve their ability to beat a player in a one on one situation.
All the lads thoroughly enjoyed themselves, showing no nerves despite the numbers of people watching. They were presented with a small memento after the session and also an Everton pennant for the club. They were also able to obtain autographs and pictures to round off a fantastic experience for them all
