An initial £65,500 rising up to £1.3m if he turns out boss.

The Cobblers will receive an initial £65,500 and could earn up to a maximum of £1.3m in the future, depending on how many first-team games he plays.

That's one hell of an expensive season ticket for such an unproven railway.

That seems pretty harsh! Lower league teams can't produce a great crop of young players and get promoted because they can all be poached by prem teams for buttons, but a lower league club like QPR can spunk huge money on players and just buy promotion.

If he's boss, they're getting £1.3m.

That's bloody loads for them. That money could get them a team worthy of promotion. It could stop them going into administration. It could be a stadium upgrade.

Youth midfielders could be just the ticket.
So long as he doesn't turn out to be something of a sleeper.
He'll have to learn the role, get accustomed to his station so to speak.
Who was that youth prospect we signed from somewhere like Oldham, must be 5 or more years ago - hopefully Hornby isn't similar and wont go off the rails.
Could he go on to be the conductor of the midfield?
Still, this shows the intent of the club and is a signal of going places.

Femi Orenuga I think. He hasn't had a club since 2013

Hopefully later in his career when his fitness has dropped and he's perhaps let himself go a little, he'll move back into a deep-lying playmaker role, setting the tempo of the game from in front of the defence.

A fat controller, if you will.

And people call this site pointless?!

Dont know why I bothered, its like a Kipper reunion on here.

Im off to find an adult version of this forum
