No Barry and the fact we've played about 15 games in 5 days doesn't help.

Get these Stoke and QPR Games out the way and get back into the normal routine.

Tricky games without Jags. The Birdman didn't fill me with confidence yesterday! Good to see the lads coming in stepping up against a good Southampton side.

Very impressed with Southampton, they are short of a few stellar players but the nucleus of an impressive unit is there for all to see. Their play in and around the box is exceptionally intelligent in regards to pulling opposing defenders out of position and then exposing the subsequent spaces. I expect good things from them next season

Southampton played very well.
They just lack that lethal finisher who can net them 20 goals/season.

Reckon we could do worse than put in an offer for one of their midfield trio next week.

Maybe Ward-Prowse? I was unaware until the commentator mentioned it, but he's a better dead-ball specialist than Baines.

Joking aside, I would take Lallana and Lovren without a second's hesitation. Both excellent players, both still young enough and, in my opinion, the two most important players in Southampton's XI. Take them away and they're no longer a top 10 team.

Not so sure about Cork or Ward-Prowse, I would need to see more than them getting the better of Osman to convince me. Davis has never quite made it and for me is a little too old (29 on New Year's Day). Schneiderlin however, who normally starts in their midfield, is a player.

Osman ? You're joking ?

Jay Rodriguez?
I don't think he'd be cheap, but could be the striker we're looking for. He's definitely an upgrade on Jelavic.

Got skinned by Coleman for that goal, though.

Their other full-back Luke Shaw is a really amazing prospect, if we weren't blessed with quality LBs at the moment, though.
Well I said potential, not ready to be a star... lol Plus it can happen to anyone, really.

Southampton have a good team with ace young players, which is always good to see. For the sake of English footy - most of them are English as well, which is also good to see.
