Burnley have lots of young players who are full of energy and are very quick. Everton are playing Coleman, Young and Gomes today who are neither of those things. No Onana is a massive miss, Garner will have to do Gomes and Young’s running today.
If you can’t win make sure you do not get beat, the record is yours for the taking Sean.

The guys always just played for himself. He is vastly overrated and has a poor attitude - the quicker we sell him the better. No amount of geeing up the crowd and pointing to the badge will disguise it. Not reliable. Didn’t realise he was injured 😂 - rant over
Dyche.."Amadou made it through training but then said he was too sore to continue." lol

Burnley are pretty lightweight all over the pitch so don't think this is the worst game to bring Gomes into as he'll have space and time to get on the ball today.

Overall selection remains me of Fulham at home last season which was a disaster of a result at the time.

Would rather have Gana out than Doucs given what's at stake today and the need to be a bit more positive from the off.
Yeah Brownhill is only on the bench today, so hopefully that helps Gomes & Garner somewhat.

That midfield is a real concern not just for this match but also for the next games if luck isn't on our side which it clearly isn't.
The problem arises from Dyche's stubbornness and inflexibility and the rolebof the 10.
Gomes can't play a full match in this 10 role so he's likely to play CM.
Gomes can't play a full match as a CM in Dyches set up either unless Garner does a shed load of running > which is the greatest concern imo, if Garner gets run into the ground and gets injured were in big do do.
The sensible option is to change the tactics of the midfield and play Gomes 10 - is that something Dyche is capable and willing to do?!

We are at home to Burnley..what T F is the reason for not putting out 2 strikers and just going for it?
Unfortunately they don’t look like they can work together, there are a lack of legs already in midfield with Onana and Gana missing and Dyche absolutely would want at least one of the strikers getting behind the ball out of possession.

Yeah Brownhill is only on the bench today, so hopefully that helps Gomes & Garner somewhat.

Cullen and Berge will be competitive for them but Burnley have big issues all over the pitch, weak defending crosses and set plays, still insist on playing out at the back even though they've been constantly disposed all season in deep midfield that has lead to goals.

Still given how it's generally gone at Goodison bar those three days in December against Newcastle and Chelsea I'm prepared for yet another way for this club to blow a very winnable home game in spectacular fashion.
