Seamus Coleman. Tim Cahill. Only as good as how much they cost? Hundreds of other examples. Its getting eleven players, or a squad, playing like a team that wins stuff, surely?

Fair enough Steve, there is no link whatsoever between how good a player is and how much he costs.
Probably City, United and Chelsea will get relegated this season I reckon.

Yes a hundred examples to the contrary doesn't change the general point though.
It does though, there are so many big signings that flop
I can remember Chelsea signing Shevchenko and thinking they will be unstoppable, but he was useless.
I could go on and on....

It's been a poor transfer window so far, we haven't spent much money considering we sold Stones for 47 million and are in receipt of the new TV deal. Where is this supposed investment from Moshiri?

An update from afar:

Am still expecting Hart on loan
Am expecting Kone to complete
I think we'll create a surprise and probably sign one of our earlier midfield targets (we're still active here).
We'll sign another forward.
We are actively pursuing other targets on Walsh's list - who they are I do not know, Walsh plays cards v close to his chest.

What I take from this...
Info... we're still in for Hart, Esk opinion... he expects us to get him.
Info... We're still in for Kone, Esk opinion... he expects us to get him.
Info... Expect another midfielder, Esk opinion... one of our earlier midfield targets
Info/Esk opinion... We'll sign another forward.

All this is based off The Esk's inside knowledge and as he's not Ronald Koeman or Moshiri, how can we fume if they don't work out.

Enjoying the info @The Esk

Thanks.

they've been getting sacked off as much as we have this summer mate

Kante is a great buy for them. Batshuayi is overpriced but will score goals (he's not a title winning CF though).

They were awful against Bristol Rovers yesterday. A full senior team bar two youngsters (Loftus-Cheek and Aina). They've got a massive re-build on and they're finding it tougher than expected in regards recruitment.

Funnily enough I remember them improving enormously as soon as Abramovich started spending loads. They suddenly out of nowhere became multiple league winners. Same with City.

Honestly folks. I'm not making this up - huge amounts of money buys success.

Time to start throwing money like we're playing slots in a Vegas casino. Had enough of our faffing and incompetence. Money talks so let's start flashing it extravagantly (if we actually have it of course.....)

Just what were you expecting from Moshiri?? Ronaldo and Messi? New 100K capacity superstadium to be prebuilt and airlifted onto the waterfront by the start of this season?

Nothing will be the same.... Wrong we still have to sell to buy, apart from making Bill and his cronies very rich The Mosh has put f--k all in..

Ah but Tony Cascarino predicted in The Times pre season that not only will we finish 16th but Koeman wouldn't see out the season.
Unless he knows something we don't I seriously doubt he has all the facts. I am not saying we will finish top but I'm sure with the new blood in our team that we will easily fall into the top ten perhaps seventh or eighth. Next year or perhaps the following one I believe we will terrorize the other teams for CL places. We are becoming a force as our foundation is being built in so many ways.
