There were loads in the 90s. The amount of players we got through was unbelievable.

Mo Johnston was the first that really disappointed me. Thought we would be a top signing.

Vinny Samways came with a growing reputation at a good age but was toilet. Danny Williamson the same.

Slacken Billic should have been fantastic but was a liability.

Signed Peter Beagrie, dead excited to see a tricky winger. Lost 6-2 against Villa i think on his debut and things never got any better from there. Never played a first time ball in his career!

Cant agree with that, Speed burst onto the scene with Leeds, but by the time he left them he was looking very stale and a shadow of the player he was - i thought signing for us totally re-juvenated him and he was very good, certainly one of our best players at the time.
After he left he re-invented his game as a central playmaker, its a shame we couldnt keep him, but we wont go into that.
