I think it depends on a couple of factors , namely if the coaches think he is still in good enough shape physically to contribute and secondly his wage demands.

In spite of his age he has been available for nearly every game and in spite of getting rinsed a couple of times he has not been poor.

Seamus is different in that he has missed a lot of the season through injury.
Seamus did say that he has received an offer and is considering it. I think it may entail staying as a squad member but getting involved in coaching as well.

tbf, if you were choosing out of the 2 player who has earned an extension, you'd have to say Young as he's been available more.

Can't believe he's played 30 odd games though. Don't think he's had an assist or goal in the league. Don't think he's even crossed the half way line tbh either lol

….already an indication of how difficult it’ll be for Dyche next season. I think this is a lot to do with ‘numbers’ and having a squad available to play. Sales confirmed, I’m sure we’ll have an even weaker squad next season than this.
