We've played mainly 4 accross the back its only this season it's been tried.
From a tactical stand point, Barry usually drops in between the 2 CBs as the Full Backs push up, I think that's what Goat means.

It was a terrible sub to make in a home game, nothing will convince me otherwise.
I remember a lot of Moyes subs (shudders & weeps)....must be a club thing.God knows he's made enough awful subs this season.

If Coleman's shot had gone in rather than being saved and Everton had gone on to win, would that have been enough to convince you?
Which is weird in itself as last season he made a hell of a lot of good subs.
Yep.
Ive no main issue with that kind of "3 at the back", but when you play 3 actual CBs, it seems a waste to me.
As it's Alcaraz, it's a negative substitution. Awful player shouldn't be anywhere near this team/sqaud.. championship player through and through. Represents the worrying side of Martinez.
Pssssst....come ere...
Alcaraz has never played in the championship..he's what you call one of those premiership only type of players..
He's even played at a Wold Cup which maybe slightly below certain some people's opinion of "the premiership" level but certainly above everyone's opinion of "the championship" level.
