    Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

I’d say a few will be interested in him. Imagine we’d need to flog half the team first lol

As an old boss of mine once said, “you have a say. You don’t have a choice”. lol

I agree. Think it will be flog a couple of assets and bring in fairly low cost replacements either for nominal fees or loans. Assume we’ll keep hold of DCL unless a big offer comes in for him.

We’re signing a striker this summer? Here’s hoping!! DCL is a good player no doubt. But I don’t see many incomings of note this summer. We’ll probably have Onana and Branthwaite to replace in the squad.

Yeah. I mean one of the correct things Simon Jordan said is if you owe someone £50 it’s your problem. If you owe someone £200million it’s their problem! MSP may well want to step in if things look decidedly dicey.

Absolutely. We are miles away from challenging for anything right now.

I’d say that’s a given in terms of another arduous season ahead. Whoever takes over, the clubs finances need put on the right footing first before we can do anything else. And let’s face it, any takeover may not be concluded before the transfer window closes.

It’s really down to what we have in the squad tbh. If we had a good RB, some better quality wide players and DCL in form then I think we could play some decent stuff. We’re missing a bit of class centrally too - Doucoure isn’t silky but can be effective when in form. It’s just he’s very patchy...

Always good times on here lol End of the day he got the job done this season. Was it pretty? No. It was awful a fair amount of the time but he’s earned his spot for next season given the turmoil around the club and the points deductions. I’ll admit to being fickle at times like all fans but...

I had a mate who was a civil engineer. Used to swan out of the office in a suit with a briefcase, tell everyone he was going on a site inspection and then go and play golf lol

Yeah I mean it’s a total lottery. You can’t bank on the team overcoming a 9 point deduction next season and if you go down you might not be back in the PL for a decade.

The Esk. Just following the logic of what’s being hinted at lol

Most talented player we've had in the PL era?

Yeah. He was such an effective player.

    Kanchelskis for me.

I mean I clearly don’t know anything about finance and I’m not pretending to but the current situation certainly does not look good in terms of loans etc. These investor types probably smell blood in the water.

I suppose it’s not formally agreed yet or close to being implemented. They’d need to pump millions in to get us on an even keel off the field never mind starting to invest in the team mind lol Even then, with us being so close to the line on PSR I’d imagine there’d be a decent chunk of time...

lol Qataris would be good mate, but suspect a lot of those state owned funds will think twice after the whole furore around Newcastle and the spending cap etc. It won’t be possible to just swan in and pump hundreds of millions into the team. But we can dream. With the new stadium what we...

I can’t see him leaving this summer at all. Even with new owners I can’t imagine they would consider sacking him after keeping us up with an 8 point deduction. We deffo need more pace and creativity up top and I’ve no doubt we’ll be ok defensively. Just have to find a decent replacement for...
