I don't think he would have been as the fans have not turned on him yet and many games in the run were actually decent draws.
As soon as the fans turn a manager is done regardless of the club. I feel like the only ones fervently wanting him out are those who didn't want him in the first place.
I'd say we need to lower our standards. Not realizing where and what we are these days is one of the main reasons we are in the position we are in right now.
Probably because loans still cost money so the better loans come in when we can afford them.
They are very erratic too. The same season we got Lukaku on loan we also got Lennon and Deulofeu, pretty successful one that Barry was a weird loan/buy deal. We basically paid for him even though he...
Depends on what type of deal you are making doesn't it?
A 4 year deal for a player like that would of course be madness.
A one year stop gap if we can't afford/attract anybody else, yeah why not?
I think you are underestimating just how wank we are.
Of course it would be embarrassing to get relegated, that's why sometimes you need the likes of a 35 year old Ben Mee or whoever to make sure you don't.
The "big" clubs already have the best players so will continue to win everything and then the top players will move to play for them regardless.
So yeah, probably changes nothing.
I don't trust anything these days.
