Our defenders showed Anichebe too much respect too, just because they know his trick of backing into players and turning, they were scared to even get close to him ffs.

It was bloody Anichebe!

say what you like, but if that was Liverpool playing WBA, the RS would have put at least 3 in the onion bag. We struggle against mid/lower table teams (2/3 of the teams) and outperform against the top 1/3. Trouble with that ratio is.....

Were just a bit stretched with the injuries. Barkley in there tonight and the option of Deulofeu or a fit McGeady. Lack of an in form striker combined with that means we struggle to hit teams when they're vulnerable and they gain heart, particularly at home under a new manager.

Not the worst result in the world but a crap performance. A decent kick up the arse hopefully for a really important run of games coming up.

These type of performances/games happen. Relax, were still ace.

Thank you, a very zen assessment

Mirallas and coleman aside everyone on that pitch can **** off absolute bottlers.Played the whole game in first gear making mistakes, in 6th now and 4 points off 4th if the RS beat us without barkley, coleman, deulofou and possibly pienaar. Absolutely disgusting same old same old

Said it all season we will never win anything with osman playing light and day compared to when barkley is in midfield we are ****ed if he's out for weeks.

It was always going to happen unfortunately, we get injuries and squad isnt good enough to sustain challenge for top 4...its thr ultimate difference between the teams challenging with us...first eleven is brilliant but after that we can't bring in similar players once a few injuries hit.

Just typical that barkley, piennar and deulofeu are injured at the same time....three potential game changers for us.

Osman was terrible tonight, but what other option was there....mcgeady not match fit....naismith? He would have been poor probably and people would have called for osman instead.

Distin was poor tonight, would have started stones over him.

Feels like we just have to grind out results at the minute, stay there or thereabout and hope barkley and del boy come back fresh and firing on all cylinders....

Nah, that was ****e. Let's hope we have some more options by next week. Someone needs to be available to make Lukaku think he'll be slung off when he plays like that. The same goes for Osman, who I think deserves credit for what he's done for the club, but his time is up, he was a complete passenger tonight

Poor show all round ,bad day at the office , missed Barkley and Peanuts , Osman had one of them games were you felt like slapping him, Defence was nervy all the game . but a point away and time to regroup before the Derby .COYB.

What were all those route one balls about? Lukaku won one i think that Mirallas latched on to and buried. Utter garbage second half, we made a distinctly average West Brom look good.

...think that came off a WBA defender. Lukaku is crap in the air. And on the grass

Agree with you but a kick up the back side is not what´s needed imho. The players are giving their all it´s just the price of having a small squad. Injuries and fatigue. We desperately need to add a couple of bodies over the next two weeks. And yes, we´re still ace. No question.

problems in midfield. WBA looked like they wanted it more. Osman should've been subbed at 80 minutes and its astonishing he wasn't. Anyone fit would've preferable. Kept losing the ball. Seemed unable to find another man. Control let us down. Pienaar badly missed. McGeady looked interesting but obviously isn't sharp yet. Coleman looked off the pace and I haven't said that for a long time.

All in gash. Those away fans in full song deserved more. I honestly think a team with genuine top four credentials would've taken that team apart today. Not beat them but scored four or five. Anelka aside they weren't very good at all and there was space at the back if the midfield could play an artful ball forward. Barry? No. McCarthy? No. Osman? No.

God we missed pienaar.

Just have to be thankful that by the end of the month we'll have Barkley and Deulofeu back, Traore as another option up front and Pienaar back amongst things. Painful watching some of that tonight. Add to that McGeady will be approaching fitness and we'll have options once again. Terribly thin in terms of mixing it up tonight.
