His future should be just as much in question, but he can hide from the scrutiny in his role, and it would be unfair to saddle someone like Leighton Baines with it at this point.

McKenna has the experience of working with younger players while Carrick has the global name to attract players.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see that he might be wanting a move back north. Especially with West Ham fans still seemingly against him, despite him winning their first bit of silverware in years and making them a top 10 club.
