Are you joking on Moshiri, how many times has he gone Sky Sports, Talksport, talked about Voodoo, went rouge and caused mini riots by going on media, not forgetting "if we need a striker we will get a striker" and "the club is definitely not for sale" interview with the FAB.
Went rouge? Dammit we don't want any red in the boardroom even if he does feel it enhances his cheek bones. :red:

A question I keep wondering is that, when most reporting suggests they have very little liquidity and struggle to even pay bills elsewhere, why are they tying up the best part of 200m in junior debt at a football club they may never own? Doesn’t really add up to me.

When BMD completed this would be a huge asset. Just think how much 777 could get if they sold it and then rented it.

Nowhere near as much as if the club held it and they commercialised it successfully
The sale and leaseback thing is an odd one. Historically my work has dozens of separate multi million pound premises in the UK alone which we sale and lease back. Better for us to have the cash tied up in profit making assets rather than property. Plenty others owned outright and some others where land rented with our premises plonked on it. But we have bought a lot of the sale and leaseback ones back in recent years where the price has been right. Its not an absolute catastrophe, just feels dirty the clubs main attraction not being owned, I get that. But it is a thing that can work for all parties, if done properly. Thats where the issue lies, we will saddle our self with fixed rent uplifts miles above commercial rates due to our desperation and make a pigs ear of it.

Definitely hope the stadium stays within the club. Feels better. But it’s also just something poor owners can just borrow more and more against.

Can you blame them though, the first thing they are going to need to do is payout hundreds of millions of pounds to clear someone else's debts. The last thing they are going to want is to pay Moshiri's over inflated asking price on top of it.

That's certainly what a lot of media outlets are saying anyway

There seems to be nobody with an interest batting on our side. I still cannot get my head around playing at BMD when Everton FC don't have ownership or control of it. Never known a mess like this and it puts the points deduction thing in the shade for me.
It's a certainty it will be our new home but it'll sour it no end if this is the outcome. In those circumstances i'd be gutted waving Goodison Park goodbye.☹️

Until such time as Moshiri suggests he is willing to talk to other parties…
At the minute he'll be quite happy as he's agreed a deal with 777 and they are continuing to fund the stadium and day to day operations. He won't do anything until either the Premier League officially reject/ fail 777 (not sure they will specifically) OR 777 pull out due to being unable to secure approval within a suitable time frame.

All that being said, you'd expect Moshiri might be getting a bit worried by now that it might all fall apart and would have started some initial discussions with A.N.Other interested party?

When I sold my house and had it under contract, I still solicited bids. I couldn't accept, but still solicited. Had backup offers.

Of course he is. He likely has all along.

My initial thoughts were that he's absolutely crazy putting all his eggs in one basket, ESPECIALLY considering all the controversy surrounding 777's reputation.

Common sense would dictate that at least by now he'd have a plan B and possibly even a plan C in place just in case. 🤷‍♂️
