Zakuani Training with Everton

I saw him a few times, hes really awful to be honest. Pace and nothing else. his control is woeful.

My thoughts on Zakuani.

He's Theo Walcott about five years ago.

Fantastic pace and can beat his man regularly. After that, there isn't much else. Service isn't great and doesn't score a bucketload of goals.

Wouldn't turn him down on a free though that's for sure.

I trust Moyes' judgement here. Zakuani has got loads of potential, but he'll really have to grow up fast if he is to succeed in the premier league. If he steps up, then Everton score a winger with blistering pace. If not, then send him on back to Seattle and we'll welcome him like Darius Vassell in Turkey.

Oh wow. This is pretty cool. Zakuani is one of the standout players from MLS for me. I'm not sure if he's up to Premier League standards just yet but I think he'll get there eventually. I had heard that he might be coming to England to train -- can't believe it's turned out to be with Everton! Really pleased to hear this.

I know right? In a dream state where Zakuani managed to knock socks off (don't think this will happen, decent, but a little early), we'd have Zakuani + LD + Seamus. We'd be like - "who is this team??!?!?!" The Blues zipping by? Really??????? Who's that blur????

He's really there. From twitter:

It's fair to say that this morning was the coldest I've ever been during training. Louis Saha had 4 coats and 2 hats on... oh, and gloves!

(Maybe that's why Saha's not playing well in actual games? Not used to not having layers?)

Due to a Zak not being an animal, that doesn't quite work as well.

The "Zak and Yak Attack" however does. It's a shame that'd require Moyes doing something insane like playing two up front.

...and yet one of the few wingers in the league that most defenders weren't eager to come up against.

Above average player and still has room to improve.
