An entire team built around him and only last season did he get double figures.

He's not a goalscorer by any stretch of the imagination. He's a pacey trickster who can rattle defences and cause openings elsewhere, but his end product both in terms of goals and raw assists is sorely lacking.

I'm not saying he's a bad player, but he is what he is. If we brought him in, the hope is he's more consistent and/or he opens up space for the likes of Richarlison and Sigurdsson to flourish.

Think that is the idea to open up spaces for others that is why the goals column is not as important compared to out and out strikers.

I'm all about talented players up front who aren't out and out goalscorers.

The problem is I honestly think our biggest weakness is not having a mobile striker who is a moderate goal threat. Richarlison isn't the answer, yet my worry is the plan is to bring Zaha in and have Richarlison up front. In theory that's fine, but Richarlison is so much better on the wing.

Proven mate.

Never managed more than 10 goals in 10 seasons, utterly stinking player.

The he plays for Palce shout is completely void. He’d have more space to flourish if he’s that good, he can barely find the net there what’s he gonna be like when there’s 10 men sitting there.

I’ll hazard a guess at trying some stupid flick and losing possession

PLayers who had more assists than him last year:
Eden Hazard
Ryan Fraser
Christian Eriksen
Trent Alexander-Arnold
Andrew Robertson
Leroy Sané
Raheem Sterling
Callum Wilson
Paul Pogba
Alexandre Lacazette
David Silva
João Moutinho
Matt Ritchie
Mohamed Salah
Sergio Agüero
Ashley Westwood
Bernardo Silva
James Maddison
Raúl Jiménez
Salomón Rondó
Aaron Ramsey
Abdoulaye Doucouré
Alex Iwobi
Anthony Knockaert
Gylfi Sigurdsson
Son Heung-Min
James McArthur
Johann Gudmundsson
José Holebas
Ryan Sessegnon
Marcus Rashford
Ricardo Pereira
Roberto Firmino
Willian
Now you need to tell me how many of those had his number of goals as well.....you know, just for the small matter of accuracy.

70 goals in 10 seasons, utterly laughable figures.

Last 4 seasons in the PL - look at the trend here:

2018/19
Goals 10 assists 10

2017/18
Goals 9 assists 5

2016/17
Goals 7 assists 11

2015/16
Goals 2 assists 5

The lad is 26 and in his prime. We need to get on this. I said before he's going to be some teams Arjen Robben these next three seasons. Get him before a CL team wake up and snatch him.

My only concern is if we sign this lad it means Richarlison at number 9. Loved him on the wings causing mayhem, didnt think he was anywhere near as effective up top.

On my mobile now Dave, but there was 31 of them in total

But good old Wilf, the average scoring, average assist making wannabe world class player.
You'll repent like the rest of them.

If Brands makes this deal happen he's made up for a lot of the wasted time this summer.

I wanted him a few years back. It's way too much of a fee, but he is an ace player and i'd love to see how he does when he's not having to carry the whole team every game.

I'd also love to see our team when we have someone who can up their game and win a match on their own if necessary, who can hit a pass and receive a return whilst running past players, and who likes to both tackle and score.

Can see him raising the game of a lot of our players as well as his own tbh. Doesn't score too many but has a key influence in most of their wins through passing, assists or goals.

I think Zaha will be surprised how good those around him would be if he moved here, and my only concern
is the possibility of the big fish small pond syndrome, as with the likes of Matt Le Tissier who could never do much with better players around him, needing to be king of the castle to perform.
