I saw a thing today where prof Brian Cox said that "most" people don't have an inner voice. When they read things, they just understand the words, some of us have a voice in our heads. Also, most people have a thought, like phoning a mate, whereas others have an inner voice narrating like "I'll phone Moyes and give him my team selection now."

The presence or absence of an inner voice is not related to intelligence. At least that's what he said, and the voices in my head all agree.

So ... scientific based poll to satisfy curiosity attached....no cheese on toast option because somebody will only want pineapple on it and those people aren't really humans.

I feel completely the opposite. Mine is a total and utter gobshite and the biggest threat to my ability to function as a normal human being on a daily basis.

It’s fine, as long as the voice isn’t telling you to do crazy stuff, and avoid narrating your life out loud:

I've always had one but it was speaking a language I didn't understand.

I eventually worked out it was Greek and have been learning it for the last few years. Though I wish I hadn't bothered, the voice never says anything interesting

Only when running, tells me which route to take, even if it wasn`t the route I originally set out to do.

I liken it to almost like a a form of OCD
