I can remember my late mother's first & last game all in one My older brother his mate My sister & I took her to a league cup game v Luton Town then in a lower Division we won 6 0 or something like that - My older brother chose the park end stand - my mother sat thee with her handbag on her knees - disgusted that fans stood up as the ball got near the park end goal - she thought she was at the cinema telling the fans to sit down as they were rude

Not my first game but my first real memory going with friends from school was against Southampton in 81. Steve McMahon and Imre Varadi are the two players players who stick in my mind from the day.

March 98 Everton 1 (Madar) - Villa 4 (Joachim, Charles, Yorke x2)

should have decided against it after that as that's basically the story of my everton supporting life 🙃

1998 Boxing Day nil all with Derby , cold, wet, miserable, worst game of football ever, but i loved it.

Most vivid memory was Bakayoko giving up on a ball heading towards the touch line, Richard Dunne nearly ran over him from 20 yards further back to get the ball and keep it in.

Bakayoko's missus must be good at football because no way his son got his ability from him

Everton debut for J Bailey
My hero Bob Latchford was injured and we were stuffed by newly promoted Norwich but I was hooked long before my first game at Goodison.

‘87, 3-1 at home v Luton. I think we won the league away the game before at Norwich.

It’s been a bit downhill from there frankly.

Living in Staffordshire I only managed to get to a few games in the Midlands. I think my 1st (not 100% sure) was Coventry. They had Regis & Speedie up front, and we were in the home end (not wearing any colours of course 😂). I remember big Cyril hammering the bar with a header and it still shaking 5 minutes later. The journey home was fun, due to my mates dad who drove us, spending the game in a local pub while waiting for us. He had an old Austin Maxi that couldn't get 2nd gear. Good times.
