But we all knew he had a tendancy to be lazy.
If he's going to be lazy I just hope he becomes a goalscoring lazy git. Basically as long as he bangs em in all will be fine.
To be fair to him we probably havent been playing to his strengths. Time will tell I suppose.

Good first post mate, welcome aswell.

He just doesnt look like a Moyes signing does he? And because of that he stands out, at the end of the day Moyes is a professional footie manager and will have done his homework and perhaps seem something he can work on and something that the team is missing that can be filled with Yakubu.

Yak back IN????????????:P

Agreed (and welcome to the board Fazakerley...can I get a phonetic pronunciation on that  ).

Yakubu is at the polar end of the spectrum of AJ in how they play the game but frankly, the end result is what matters and that's goals. Yakubu's record in the Premiership is there for all to see.

He could walk to the box for all I care if he keeps hitting 'em.

bill , faz- ak - er- ley , turkish , or some such . the best word to test if a scouser is a true mickey , as they say . never fails . lcab (y)

its this high fee that seems to bring out the judgementalism in everton fans.

No-one is saying that Jags has been distinctly average (which I think he has) so far - but we don't expect miracles (like consistant passing and possession in midfield) as he only cost 4 million.

fact is he may get as many games as yakubu, so it matters not one toss at the end of the day, how much someone costs - its the results.

of course we dont want to waste a load of money, but strikers tend to cost alot more anyway, especially ones with track records.

I really believe we need to give yakubu a year of 100% support to settle in our squad before we start sharpening the knives.

Possibly a year is too long but the gist of what you say is perfectly correct. The gaffa wanted him so that is that, he never asked my opinion.

Right what next

JAGS OUT!

...and everyone needs to sharpen their knives anyway as they've more than dulled them on VDM.

(Edit: After giving it more thought, they've been sticking the knives in and breaking off the handles.)

Tevez, Berbatov and Torres came from different leagues and therefore could afforded time to settle in.

Yakubu has been here for beards. I hope he does come good, I just dont like lazy bastards in the blue shirt.

Just wanted to link something showing that I can, on occasion, be very wrong.

This is for you Goat.
