I have never actually played an Xbox... am i missing out?

Yeh, Cheaper then the PS2 and nearly as good graphics.
Uhh, xBox has superior graphics. as it can display in HD, up to 720p. And better hardware,but it all pales when compared to the next-gen consoles. And I am on xbox live using the 360. Don't use my modded xbox anymore. Winning Eleven: Pro Evo Soccer has come out over here, finally, but it is just a port of the PS2 game with the player editing feature removed :angry:

Video games are mainstream now. Here is the US it is a multi-billion dollar-a-year industry, with game development costs easily reaching 20million. Games are now becoming like interactive movies the graphics are that good. With the introduction of the Xbox 360 and PS3 we are now getting PC quality graphics at an affordable price (now the PC runs ahead again with the introduction of Vista and DirectX 10, making the 'next-gen' consoles effectively last-gen). If Microsoft get their way (which will probably happen), then Xbox 360 gamers will be playing against PC gamers using the Microsoft Live! ID's. Even going as far as introducing a TV service through your Xbox 360(providing you have a fiber optic broadband connection). Game machines are the way of the future. It is happening now. Hold on tight, it will be a fun ride!!!!
And RJ, I am not settled in Virginia, although I am near the Norfolk Naval Station, we are only staying with friends for a few days before we embark on our ~600 mile drive to Connecticut, to the New London Submarine Base, where I will teach all the nubs how to operate a submarine. (Nub=Non-Useful Body, little submariner term for ya!)
