World Snooker Championship

Big frames now for Judd Trump. One world title - nothing to be sniffed at, but a paltry return for a man we have so often been told is one of the greats. He's basically a more consistent Neil Robertson. Any pretentions that he's in the same historical class as O'Sullivan, Higgins, Williams and Selby going up in smoke this morning.

As for the great John Higgins, he cannot be relied on at this stage of his career, but to get out only 3-5 down not playing well was a throwback to peak Higgins and, more recently, classic Selby. Whether he can capitalise now remains to be seen, but the old John Higgins definitely would.

Falling behind now. What we saw the other night was a flash of genius. Flashes are all he can manage these days. Kyren Wilson could be headed for a second world final and, let's be fair, a second hiding. He's a talented player but, again, I'm not sure he has the mental X-factor to win a big one.

His facial expression always looks like he's dying to go to the toilet.
