I honestly can’t see how anybody doesn’t think that’s a red, last man, goal scoring opportunity, at very best he nicks the ball at the same time he hits the ankle, studs up. It’s a red every day of the week and twice on Sundays
Do you remember Eric diers tackle on tom cleverly didn’t eevn get a foul that wasn’t even in the same hemisphere if that’s a red then we really do have problems ffs

The red card is for denying a goal scoring opportunity, the 4th ref said to NBC. Well, then its a blunder because the ball wasn't in control of anyone.
The foul occurs during the follow through. The ball has already gone out of their forward's control and is moving towards midfield, what's he going to do, turn round get the ball and still be through on goal? What an almighty bell-end Pawson is.

If he caught the foot with the laces, it's fine. With the studs it means he's overstretched and it's reckless.

All because Jagielka is finished as a footballer. Frustrating as we had this game by the balls and one idiot has thrown it away.

Look theres no doubt that it was Jags fault, but that tackle got the ball, it was a perfect recovery tackle, if thats the benchmark, im expecting at least 3 red cards every game this season.

I think Silva will have the team set up well now.

Holgate if fit is far better than Jags.

We will win this 3-1.

Still don’t understand taking Gylfi off. Would have preferred Walcott.

Take Scneiderlin off, move Siggy back and let Gana do the defensive work. Schneiderlin will only kick the ball forward aimlessly, which will get you in the trouble eventually.

Even if you believe that, he's the last man, so it's a red.

Either way, it's a crystal clear red card. It wasn't a clean tackle - it was reckless; he's done him with studs to the shin.

The other way round and we'd be mortified if it weren't given.
Agenda.

He definitely gets the ball. IF he doesn't, the ball doesn't bounce back towards Wolves goal in that manner. It goes: jags onto ball; ball onto ankle, ball towards wolves goal; jags follow through onto ankle, player goes down.

If that's a red now, let's see how long it lasts. It means every sliding tackle that catches the player with a potentially dangerous follow through is now a red card.
