I watched the game this afternoon( recorded it on Pick), and although I thought we were very poor, there were a few personal observations I would like to make, so here goes!
I thought Iwobi was ok, tried to make the forward pass and looked like he could offer something for the future.
Tom tries hard but lacks the pace and quickness of thought for this league.
Ditto DCL.
Siggy looks like he works but just jogs around the midfield pointing and gesticulating, but actually does very little.
Don't see the love in with Digne at all, gave the pen away and gave up the ghost on more than one occasion.
Pickford, can't make my mind up, made an error and nearly let the ball through his legs and was beaten at his near post, but made a couple of very good saves too.
The rest are, I'm afraid, low to mid table journeymen or unproven youngsters.
I don't know whether Carlo and Marcel will be able to change things within the next 2 or 3 years, but unless we recruit more players with pace and skill all over the pitch the future looks grim for us.
I hope all my fellow Blues are keeping themselves safe and well, and looking out for their old folk like me (74)!!
