Thats pretty common in the US for the unfathomably rich. They can afford sycophants to validate their madness. I always think of that Foxcatcher guy that Steve Carrell played. They were afraid he'd cut funding to the wrestling program, so they let him win ridiculous fake wrestling matches with them and watched on as he was hearing voices coming from the walls. Not one "friend" thought to get him the help he clearly needed until it was too late

The lil peep documentary is really 'good' about that kind of thing, regardless of if you like his music or not, just shows everyone in his life taking advantage of him but he seemed too nice to ever really notice
