Will Rooney play again for Everton?

No i wouldnt want him to, not that i have a problem with him, the reason i wouldnt want him to is i would rather we stick to younger players, by the time United have finished with him he will be to old and i wouldnt want to see Everton carry a player like Liverpool have this season with Gerrard.

A lot of people think he's never fulfilled his promise as a player, and he should've been better than he is. Either way, if they think he would've fulfilled it staying at Everton they're deluded, IMHO. He may not really have done it in an England side, but who has in recent memory? At the end of his career he will have won every domestic medal and the Champions League.

The reason I wouldn't want him back is I don't think it will be fun to watch a half-fit Rooney huff and puff his way around the centre circle. With his love of ale, and the cigarettes, I fear the 30s are not going to be kind to his physical fitness. Occasionally players retire before their time (Cantona was one) but in Rooney's case he won't need to play on to his mid-30s, and unless Coleen fancies one last payday living it up in the US, I hope he does retire at the end of his current contract rather than give the romantics their wish and come "home".

Moyes, in an extensive interview in yesterday's Sunday Times, expresses the view that he (Moyes) thinks Rooney will make an outstanding manager.

Perhaps Mr Rooney will return not as a player but as our manager one day?

Now there's a thought .........!!

I think that's the other thing. Rooney loves the money and today players can earn even more playing the MLS so there isn't any point dropping down the league.

Goes to show how opinions can change between people.

If he really is a true Blue, stick it in your own net tomorrow and all is forgiven GrannyShagger.

He could of came back this season couldnt he? If he didn't sign his massive utd contract last summer he could of let everton pay out his contract and come back I heard, but he didn't and that's that. Him, Lukaku and Barkley on form would of been great to watch tho

i know he's not the brightest tool in the shed, but even he's not thick enough to know we wouldn't be able to afford to buy him unless he was out of contract - massive wage decrease as well.
