I do think we will accept any offer over £80 mil, id rather him go than constantly angle for a move away every time he goes away with Belgium and play funny games with Pogba. He's not bigger than the club like he thinks he is.
I think if we accept £80m it will be with a bunch of add ons based on trophies, goals, Ballon d'Or etc. which could eventually make £100m. Will suit both sides as each can claim a victory and obviously it will suit Lukaku as he'll get his move.

He is not staying - the question might be asked of any other Premier league forward, how many goals would they have scored at Everton last year? Most maybe 16 or 18 Is Lukaku worth the difference? 7 goals is pretty much a Miralas season haul. I think we would let him go without enormous fume on here.
We are a different club than we were last year already, his departure is just a part of that journey!

If we are truly unshakeable in our £100m valuation, and if Lukaku doesn't hand in a transfer request/rock the boat further in interviews. Then I think he'll stay.

But, and I said this in another thread, I don't think he can use the 'Everton lack ambition' excuse anymore. If he does, well...

Unless we get a bid in the region of £100M, we ain't selling. I reckon he'll still be here after the window shuts. He shot himself in the foot by refusing to sign a new contract - and we have no need to sell. I also think it unlikely anyone will bid the full asking price. He'll go next summer if he still wants it.

Yeah it's almost like giving 17 or 18 year old lads money that the 99% could never even imagine makes for well rounded young men with a down to earth approach on life!

Very valid point.

The players who impress the most as honourable men are those who have had to graft for a career. Cahill and Coleman are prime examples.

I hope Lookman has a similar grounded steel about him.

Some of the academy graduates who have been told they are the best since childhood lack that extra bit of fight.

Half of those goals were scored v Bournemouth, Sunderland, Hull and Watford.

Honesty I don't like hissy fitters as I don't do that in my employment.

On a positive note, keeping Lukaku and having the new additions would make teams crap their kecks.

I think he'll leave, each day that passes only increases the pressure on Lukaku and his camp to secure a move.
No pressure on us, let's see how highly rated Lukaku is in the next few weeks and who is prepared to pay what for him.
If he is still an EFC player by Sept 1, then he will resemble the biggest fool in football for many years.
Best get value for him whilst we can, we can get another 3 players in for the money, added to the signings already made that would be an almost perfect window, with players who actually want to play for us.

Lukaku playing for this Everton team next season would really give us a great chance of overhauling one or two teams who finished in front of us last year. I still think he will go but now I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed.
