Defo Si. This used to be the case didn't it? I can't remember empty weekends for international games in the eighties but maybe it's my crap memory mate.

Tar lar. I was struggling for early Wigan pictures so thanks to googling something to do with Springfield Park this came up. It's probably the rugby or even not in Wigan but no one's checked so far luckily.

It's actually the men's curling team. That fat one in the middle is deceptively fast with a brush in his hand.

Just realised Paul Scharner doesn't play for them anymore.

On that basis, I'm going for a 9-0 Everton win.

To add to this, here's some Paul Scharner facts:

* His first ever Premier League goal was against Everton.

* His first goal of the 2009 season was against Everton.

* His first goal for West Brom was against Everton.

* He scored two goals in one game to secure a 2-2 draw for Wigan, away to Everton. He only scored one other goal in 24 other appearances that season.

So, yeah, glad he's not playing...

The only time he ever won money was betting against Everton I think. Cnut.

Really hope we can do this today. I believe in the players, we are good enough to stay at the top end of the league all year. Games like this are must wins.

I always wanted to sign that mutant on the basis that if he played for us he couldn't score against us!

Really speaking we should do these. We've had problems ther in the past due to a lack of ideas in the final 3rd and silly mistakes in defence. whereas the defence still looks shaky, we've certainly improved in attack so I'm expecting a 5-2 win.
seriously boys, dese r shoite.

From this day, Dave Whelan shall forever be known as The Willie Wonka of Wigan.

Chico thanks again. Best preview since the last one.
(Yes I have seen Ray Wilson play)
