I think our midfielders are decent, I really rate Doucoure and Allan and I think Gomes is a good ‘from the bench option’ but they keep being played in a horrific system with no support versus three or four man midfields
Why we keep playing 3 at the back with crap wing backs and expose our midfielders baffles me

I think most non-elite Centre-Mids will struggle in a midfield 2 with Benitez tactics and most teams playing 3 in midfield. Allan and Doucoure are good individually.
