Why i think we will spend in Jan

Thing is, Moyes practically begs Kenwright to give him a reason to stay every year, and he doesn't mean by spending £100m. He just wants us to spend reasonable money. If we can scrape together £5-10m and sign one or two players in January without selling, and are still in the hunt for Champions League football, there's no reason Moyes, and our best players, shouldn't want to stay.

Managable debt is ok, which I think is where we are now.

I think we have circa £6m to spend in January which I think MUST be spent on Vadis Odija Ofoe to allow Neville to begin his wind down towards retirement. It would give Ofoe 6 months to settle, easing him in to games in a very important position, allowing Neville to be the main cover for Gibson when experience is needed, then next year, CL (if we qualify) we will have two strong players in the CDM position who both bring different qualities to the team for differing opposition and tactical neccesities. Neville will no doubt remian club captain, but as a 3rd choice replacement for RB and CDM.

I'd be happy with that.

This!

We'll probably invest a little more than usual in January if we're at a point where it looks as though we are pushing hard for a Champions league place, but nothing major, maybe £6m as has been said by some and potentially a loan deal, but certainly not a Leeds situation.

I think we'll spend a bit in January regardless of the circumstances as we tried to at the end of the last window and we still have that need.

Saying we'd spend more than that is just a wild guess at this point.
