Well you got to look at joe Cole he is meant to be on 120k a week doesn't even get a look in. One thing I notice with Chelsea they are getting rid of a lot of there big earners. Anelka, Drogba , Essien, plus I think Cole and Lampard will gone either Jan or the summer. All on massive massive wages.

We still have roughly 5m of the Rodwell deal left over, i'll be mad if we don't strengthen our squad in January. Our squad could be on the verge of doing some really good things, things Everton haven't done in years e.g make Europe and if Kenwright can't see that he truly is daft.

The current starting 11 is good enough, what we need are a few good quality squad players to cover injuries in key areas. 2/3 loan signings with the carrot of a permanent deal at a CL club if they can get us there maybe. Nothing against ambition, but the club is seriously playing with fire by spending money they haven't got. We are Everton, the day after we spend Fellaini's future transfer fee he'll fall out of a window at FF and never kick a ball again.

The contrast in the start and finish of that Season is amazing, I kinda forgot how many times we got beat in the 2nd half of the Season.

We seemed to either win or lose that season. Not many draws. Draws seem to be the killer if you end up with too many.

I don't think there's any need to go mad in January. I think just Donovan and ofoe would give us what we need to really push for 4th. A loan striker would also be good if poss. And maybe tie something up for holtby whether that's Pre-contract or early cheap fee.

What would that be 6M plus a couple of loan fee's ???
Hardly break the bank type of money for 4 players...

Think you're spot on there mate. Bill knows that he needs to tie Moyes down to a new contract and the promise of money to build the squad further is the way to do it. They both know that his close to achieving what he set out to build here and that money should be able to do that and keep him here long enough to hopefully start winning things with the squad he's built

****ing hate the blue ones. Actually ruins the aesthetics of a goal going in. Same with the ****e and the red nets, and City and their black nets. The nets are too tight, and they also hardly look as if there's anything there. Probably makes it harder for the players as well as it's so much harder subconsciously to shoot in just the goal frame than it is to shoot in the frame with a massive white net on it. We've all played down the park, and then Sunday League. Big difference.

no we need 1st 11 players on the cheap like mirallas and jelavic. if we spend money we need it to actually have an effect
