It was strange that because he looked decent in that pre season stuff.

I agree but then he suffered a long-term injury (think it was when he was on loan at Crewe) & never really came back from it

We also had Daniel Fox who's doing the business for Coventry & was linked with Newcastle in the January. I don't think he'd have ever made it had he stayed at us though because he wouldn't have got a game whereas he left & got the experience he needed
