Looking the different names mentioned then Kovac would appear to be a strong option.
Is there a reason why he is not favoured by the board or indeed promoted more on here ?

The board is composed of imbeciles so that's probably why he's not being strongly considered and I notice a pretty regular advocacy on here regarding kovac, it's not as bandied about as other names but including myself it definitely been suggested as our most promising option

I seriously believe anytime we have one of these managerial selection crises. Bill pulls out a crusty rumpled piece of paper with Martinez's and Moyes' name on it and goes with his recommendations he might of jotted Rooney's name down to for future suggestions

Hey we're not that most attractive footballing proposition right now so that's a possibility. But he was coaching in ligue 1 and even despite our form the premier league does provide a certain allure. Before Bayern he coached at a Similarly dysfunctional team and enhanced their fortunes so I dont think he would be intimidated by our current woes. But who knows

I read somewhere that he was put on 12 months gardening leave when he got sacked from Chelsea and the 12 months are up tomorrow, so if its him expect some movement by Wednesday.

He has been interviewed for other jobs since then I think. Wouldn't read much into that.

Not as a manager,but he wouldn't put up with unprofessional behaviour from are lot,
Along with Carsley one of the few ex players I wouldn't mind back at the club.

He was mate but Bill Kenwright prefers the BBC to Granada so that ruled him out unfortunately
