Let's be honest, he never was a realistic option in the first place. No idea why people voted for him. As much chance as Guardiola being the next boss.

One thing with Potter is that he seems to have avoided the Spurs job already - so he's not really that ambitious is he ? Unless he is waiting for the City job or something.

On TalkSport this morning they were saying he could be a future Man United manager.

Ah, new to Everton? Might have missed who our last manager was.

It literally makes sense for nobody involved for Martinez to come on as an interim manager. I know I shouldn’t be confused by brain dead decisions that this club makes, but my god this is insane. Duncan or Rooney on an interim would NOT be my choice, but at least it wouldn’t break my brain trying to understand it.

I didn’t say that.

However, Lampard is more qualified to manage a PL club than Rooney is. And if their roles were reversed there is 0% chance people on here would be suggesting Lampard take over.

A Rooney who nearly got Derby promoted and had a 52% win rate at Chelsea vs a Lampard who might save Derby from relegation ?

Because he got the Chelsea job...on the back of the derby job. Which would be the same as what we'd be doing.

While i agree that the name does carry favour, I dont see how win percentage gives Lampard an edge when he basically got a silver spoon. Rooney hasn't had anything yet is still getting performances.

I think that holds more weight especially with our predicament. Lampard basically had it easy and still didn't get what they set out to, there's no indication of a fight when needed in him..
