On a side note what would you fellas say to having joe back as manager his stats aren't bad
He can barely walk, mate. The physical demands of a top flight manager would drive him to his grave.

What happened ladAgain i couldnt agree more One of my favourite ever everton players just for his heart and like you it'd have really hurt to see us go down under him.
Believe it or not I had the privilege to be present in the moat house on the day (could have been 2days ) before the ferguson goodison derby and watched joe speak to him for literally a couple of minutes . It certainly wasn't tactics or match planning it was joe 'motivating' Duncan and it was brilliant to watch . In another thread somebody was dismissive about motivation but if they'd seen that i'm confident they wouldn't maintain that position . I know that's probably just me rambling but the point is like you I think joe is criminally underrated .
parkinson or gibson guys? too young to have seen parkinson play but from what i've heard he sounds a similar player to gibbo, who would you rather have in the middle?
Present day quite easily. Only Southall and Kanchelskis would get in our current side.
I think people have a rose tinted view of the cup winning side because we got that trophy, but if you look at the United team that day compared to the team that won the treble four years later they weren't anywhere near as developed, and the other teams from that era weren't as strong either.
We have to remember that he got us to 6th in the league, yet now that kind of performance sees many amongst us complaining that Moyes is rubbish.
Love the way some people try and **** off the football from yesteryear as incomparible to todays magnificent football. **** me we might aswell laugh off Dixies 60 goals in one season because a one legged dwarf born in the last 25 years would of scored 61 because of his diet and training.
Let's be honest though mate, he wouldn't have would he, with all the will in the world he only has one leg mate, be realistic
You never know his diet and modern training regime would have had him hopping faster than the players of yesteryear could run.parkinson or gibson guys? too young to have seen parkinson play but from what i've heard he sounds a similar player to gibbo, who would you rather have in the middle?
Does anyone remember Joe Royal saying we couldnt afford to have Limpar and Kanchelskis in the same side???
