Deulofeu, these awards always seem to go to the 'wizards' of footy, the sexy silky players (Ribery aside!) who mesmerise and terrorise in equal measure! That'll be Gerry one day.

Barkley would love this like...

Ross.

Delboy will be great, but not Thierry Henry or C Ronaldo great...he lacks vision.

Lukaku will be great too, but not Van Nistelrooy great or Alan Shearer great, as his first touch is naturally not the best.

Ross's weaknesses can be worked on, and his style is dominater! Like Zidane and Ballack before him.

Vote Ross, lads...it's only right.

Lacks vision? Of course he does, he's 19! Remember Ronaldo at that age at Utd? Exactly the same - all they buzz off is themselves and beating their opponent 1 on 1 with a trick.

The lad is heralded as the number 1 prospect is Spanish football.

Extremely shortsighted of you there IMO.

I agree C Ronaldo was very similar at 19.

Happy to be wrong, but so far I'm not seeing delboy possess that 360° vision yet. Maybe he'll learn it like like Henry did, and maybe he'll bulk up like C Ronaldo did. But Ross the Boss is a better bet for me.

Barring injuries Barkley will be one of the best midfielders in the entire world in a few year's time, I am absolutely certain of it.

Ballon d'Or winners will come from a tiny elite of superbrand clubs. Look at this year. They had to change the voting rules when Ribery was probably ahead in order to ensure Real Madrid "got their turn" having been second so often. Munich are owed one now and don';t be surprised if they win it next because they will probably repeat their treble.

Even a club of Arsenal's status could not ensure a ballon for Henry when he was clearly better than Nedved who played for juventus who won it the year Henry had about 400 assists.

Of all our players Deulefeu has an outside chance provided he is first choice when he returns to Barcelona.

Bit cringey this thread, reminds me of the lots of threads and posts saying that Rodwell was going to be miles better than Gerrard.
